One of the first things I’ve had installed on my MBP is this ‘thing’ that can have me run Windows on my Mac called VM Ware. It’s not a surprise that it hasn’t been called up much considering the prowess and awesome-ness of Snow Leopard. Until today, that is.
This lethal combination of VMWare on Mac has foiled Funshion’s plan to isolate Mac users and keep us from “watching the world with it”(so says the slogan).
The one show that can make me tolerate the blue taskbar on my Mac screen is…Hustle.

22/10/2011 How to run Funshion on Mac:
1. Download VMware Fusion here. Just fill up 3 fields to register and then activate your account from the link sent to your email. At the download page, the 25-character code next to the expiration date of your trial is your trial licence number.
Tips:
- To save money, try for 30 days before buying.
- You can also choose to buy it USD49.99 now and save USD30.
- If you can find 9 other like-minded enthusiasts, I’d say the 10-license pack at USD68.99 is quite a steal. SGD90 for 10 licences, SGD9 each – sweet.

Check the specs required and then proceed to try or buy VMware Fusion 4. Version 4 supports both Lion and Snow Leopard.
2. Install VMware Fusion onto your Mac laptop or desktop as you normally would for other downloaded applications.
3. Install Windows. Yes, you must own a copy of Windows in order to ride on VMware Fusion. It’s not as FREE and easy as many might have hoped.
4. What it looks like when you run the application, after installing Windows.
4. Once you are in the Windows environment, all you have to do is open Internet Explorer and download Funshion for Windows from Funshion website.
If you are thinking of buying to do this long-term, the cost of running Funshion on Mac can range from SGD300+ to under SGD200(if you are able to prove to Microsoft that you are a student). It’s cheaper if you are a student(or knows someone who is) and can find 9 friends to share your 10-licence version of VMware Fusion – it will just be SGD84 + SGD9.
It’s cheapest if you know someone who has a copy of Windows lying around.
It’s FREE if you know someone who has a copy of Windows and unused VMware Fusion licence lying around.
Am thinking this could be enough to push some to buy a Windows-based laptop or desktop to save the hassle of downloading, buying and installing.

A free alternative to VMWare is Virtual Box which is available from their website virtualbox.org.
